Transporters are private transport companies and artisan truck drivers.
Contract: The road transport contract is materialized by the CMR consignment note, also called consignment note. The signature of the carrier entails a presumption of responsibility in the event of loss or damage.
Cost: pricing takes into account the weight, the nature of the goods and the distance to be traveled. The weight / volume ratio is equal to 1 ton = 3 m3. The road tariff requires that the weight of the goods be rounded up to the next 100 kg. The pay-per-use rule also applies to road transport. The price offered by a carrier is negotiable and competition must be the rule.
